EPAMIG, the Empresa de Pesquisa Agropecuária de Minas Gerais, is a leading agricultural research company that aims to promote sustainable practices in the farming industry. As a partner of the Regenera Cerrado Project, EPAMIG is working alongside nine other research institutions to scientifically validate the use of bioinputs and regenerative agriculture in large-scale corn and soybean farms near Rio Verde, Goiás. The project focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of bioinputs, such as fungi, bacteria, and natural growth promoters, in controlling pests and diseases while promoting crop growth.

EPAMIG researcher Madelaine Venzon plays a crucial role in the project, assisting farmers in quantifying and comparing the efficacy of bioinputs to conventional chemical products. With funding from Cargill and coordination by the Instituto BioSistêmico, the project began its research in 2022 and is expected to continue until 2025. It encompasses various research groups, including Biological Control, Soils, Precision Agriculture, Economics, and Communication.
