About EPA Conference UMC
The Eastern PA Conference of the United Methodist Church (UMC) is a community of nearly 400 churches, dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Led by Bishop John Schol, the Conference serves over 80,000 members across 16 counties. The Conference offers a wide range of ministries and services to support its mission.
These include connectional ministries such as advocacy, disability concerns, dismantling racism, domestic violence, health and healing, immigration concerns, and prison ministry. Additionally, the Conference focuses on mission outreach, disaster response, and global ministries. The EPA Conference also emphasizes the importance of education, with a commitment to higher education and campus ministry.
They provide resources and support for congregational development, evangelism, and Christian education. Other areas of ministry include laity, ordained and licensed ministry, safe sanctuaries, and urban and metro ministries.
