About EPD Hub
EPD Hub is a leading brand that provides a comprehensive platform for Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). An EPD is a document that transparently communicates the environmental performance or impact of any product or material over its lifetime. EPD Hub offers a range of services and products that enable architects, engineers, designers, and manufacturers to make informed decisions regarding the sustainability of construction materials and products.
Through EPD Hub, architects, engineers, and designers can easily compare the impacts of different materials and select the most sustainable option for their projects. Manufacturers can optimize the impact of their products and market their carbon transparency. EPDs generated through EPD Hub are valid for five years and are created in accordance with relevant standards such as ISO 14040/14044, ISO 14025, EN 15804, or ISO 21930.
EPD Hub follows a simple five-step process to create an EPD, which includes choosing the target standard and PCR, selecting LCA and EPD software, collecting data for life-cycle assessment, submitting the EPD for verification and publishing, and finally, receiving notification upon successful verification. EPDs generated through EPD Hub are recognized based on their third-party verification and compliance with international standards. EPD Hub fulfills all the requirements defined in the International Standard ISO 14025 and maintains a transparent and publicly available list of published EPDs and PCRs.
In addition to adhering to ISO 14025, EPD Hub also complies with sectoral standards such as EN 15804+A2:2019, ISO 21930:2017, EN ISO 14067:2018, and EN 50693:2019. While EPD Hub focuses on digitalization and cross-publishing capabilities, it currently does not pursue mutual recognition with other EPD program operators. However, EPD Hub EPDs can be used for various international and national requirements that align with EPD Hub's associated standards.
