About Epilepsija
Društvo Liga proti epilepsiji Slovenije, or the Slovenian League Against Epilepsy, is a professional and humanitarian organisation bringing together epilepsy specialists, people with epilepsy, their relatives and friends. Its work combines expert knowledge with practical support for individuals and families affected by epilepsy. The organisation provides information about epilepsy, treatment options, and issues such as epilepsy in schools, and publishes educational materials.
It also arranges lectures and online self-help meetings for people with epilepsy and for parents, guardians, and grandparents of children and young people with the condition. Members can connect through support groups in Ljubljana, Koper, Kranj, Nova Gorica, and Novo mesto. A telephone helpline offers information about the organisation and its activities, as well as guidance on psychological and social concerns related to epilepsy.
