EPLO, the European Peacebuilding Liaison Office, is an independent civil society platform of European NGOs, NGO networks, and think tanks that are dedicated to peacebuilding and the prevention of violent conflict. Founded in 2001, EPLO's mission is to influence European policy-makers to adopt a more active and effective approach in securing peace and nonviolent conflict resolution worldwide. EPLO advances the interests of its 48 member organizations through common policy positions and advocacy.

They disseminate information and promote understanding of EU policies relevant to their members, build solidarity and cooperation among member organizations and with other relevant NGO networks. EPLO is committed to the principles of sustainable peace, civil society involvement in conflict transformation, and nonviolent forms of action.
