The China Environmental Partnership Office (EPO China) is dedicated to fostering a sustainable society through collaborative initiatives that involve citizens, NPOs/NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, and government agencies in the Chugoku region. Established in 2005, EPO China focuses on promoting environmental conservation activities, creating local circular coexisting environments, and advancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
EPO China operates under the guidance of the Ministry of the Environment and works in partnership with the Hiroshima NPO Center for its seventh operational phase, running from 2023 to 2025. The office serves as one of eight Environmental Partnership Offices across Japan, designed to facilitate collaborations between private organizations and government entities to implement effective environmental policies and community initiatives.
Located in the heart of Hiroshima, EPO China provides a variety of resources, including environmental education programs, community events, consultation services, and partnerships aimed at enhancing local environmental efforts.
