EPOS, the European Plate Observing System, is a comprehensive research infrastructure that brings together Earth scientists, national research infrastructures, and ICT experts to facilitate the integrated use of data, data products, and facilities from the solid Earth science community in Europe. With a multidisciplinary approach, EPOS aims to develop new concepts and tools for accurate and sustainable solutions to societal questions related to geo-hazards and geodynamic phenomena. As part of its mission, EPOS strives to establish a long-term access to solid Earth science data and services by integrating diverse European Research Infrastructures under a common federated framework.
