About Equal Vision Records
Equal Vision Records is a brand that was formed in 1991 by Ray Cappo, former vocalist of Youth of Today and Shelter. Originally, it served as a platform for Cappo's Shelter albums and other Krishna Conscious influenced artists within the hardcore scene. However, due to the growing interest in Krishna Consciousness in hardcore, the label faced challenges in keeping up with reprints, orders for tulasi beads, and fan correspondence.
Recognizing the need for dedicated management, Cappo handed over the reins to his longtime friend and Krishna Conscious devotee, Steve Reddy. Under Reddy's leadership, Equal Vision Records flourished. The brand offers a variety of products and services, including audio player launches, news releases, tour dates, videos, and a store.
With a focus on promoting artists and providing a nurturing environment for their music, Equal Vision Records continues to be a prominent force in the hardcore music industry
