Equi Movendi

Equi Movendi is the equine health practice of Siba Galle, a graduate biologist and animal naturopath based in Lüdenscheid, in Germany’s Sauerland region. The practice provides mobile care, with Siba visiting horses in their familiar surroundings to avoid the stress and effort of transportation. Her aim is to help horses maintain or regain health and support a positive partnership between horse and owner.

Equi Movendi serves sport, leisure and breeding horses, as well as riding-school and animal-welfare horses. Care can be preventive or rehabilitative and is guided by close observation of changes in a horse’s behaviour, condition and metabolism. Siba uses natural and regulatory approaches, selecting from a broad range of therapies to suit each horse and adapting when an animal resists a particular method.

The practice also offers do-it-yourself workshops, where owners can learn massage and gymnastic exercises to support their horses themselves. Its approach considers horses’ social nature, behaviour as prey animals and need for movement and foraging.
