Équi'Libre 40

Équi’libre 40 is a family-run association and equestrian centre in Sanguinet, in the Landes forest between the lake and the ocean. Its mission is to care for retired horses and ponies, including those with physical or behavioural difficulties, and to promote animal welfare and communication between people and animals. The horses live together in a herd throughout the year in a calm, supportive setting, with particular attention to health, gradual adaptation and respectful care. The centre specialises in welcoming retired horses and those with asthma or emphysema. It uses an active stable system and provides access to specialist care, suitable feed and a nebuliser for owners to use when needed.

Équi’libre 40 also offers animal-assisted mediation, psychosynthesis and psychogenealogy sessions, alongside workshops, conferences, courses and other community activities. The association aims to create a welcoming place for exchange between people and horses, while supporting personal development. Visitors can support its work by joining, attending activities, sponsoring the association or contributing through fundraising programmes.
