EquineHeart is the horse-training and coaching practice of Silke Katharina Kaiser, built around H.E.A.R.T® (Horse Embodied Awareness & Regulation Training). Its approach views horses’ behaviour as an expression of their relationship experiences rather than as misbehaviour to be controlled. Drawing on scientific perspectives including neurobiology, attachment theory, trauma research, equine communication and herd social organisation, H.E.A.R.T® focuses on creating interactions in which horses can feel safe enough to express themselves and engage.
The method is guided by three connected principles: orientation, choice and taking small steps. It also emphasises the human’s self-regulation, awareness and presence as foundations for a supportive environment. Designed to be independent of riding styles and training methods, H.E.A.R.T® can be incorporated into different ways of working with horses, with attention to how training is conducted rather than to a particular technique.
EquineHeart offers trauma-sensitive horse training and individual coaching to help people better understand their horses and build trust, mutual respect and connection.
