Equiphysium

Josephina Barkowski, operating as Equiphysium, provides animal physiotherapy and training services for horses and dogs in Braunschweig and surrounding areas, including Gifhorn, Hannover and Hildesheim. Her approach combines individualized treatment with a holistic view of each animal, aiming to ease discomfort, improve movement and support lasting wellbeing. For horses, services include physiotherapy, fascia therapy and rehabilitation, with attention to mobility, relaxation, balance and performance.

Additional methods include Matrix Rhythmus Therapy, dry needling, kinesiotaping, craniosacral therapy and manual lymphatic drainage. Groundwork is also available through “Longieren als Dialog,” a lunging and training approach using a cavesson without side reins to develop the horse’s core support, coordination and fitness. Barkowski also offers practical workshops for horse-and-owner pairs on subjects such as massage, lunging, kinesiotaping and equine anatomy; workshops can be held at a client’s stable for groups of at least four pairs.

Her work emphasizes careful assessment, clear communication with owners and treatment tailored to each animal. The website notes that no appointments are currently available
