Cantegril is an established equestrian centre in Saint-Martin-de-Caralp, around 10 minutes from Foix in the Ariège region of France. Operating for more than 40 years, it welcomes riders of different ages and abilities, from young beginners to experienced riders, in a green setting facing Prat d’Albis. Its activities include horse and pony lessons, introductory sessions, guided rides, treks, holiday-themed courses, and pony rides for younger children.

Riders can also prepare for horse-riding proficiency tests and take part in show jumping and dressage competitions. Treks range from an hour to several days, with bivouacs and swimming with horses offered when weather permits. Lessons are taught by state-qualified instructors, and horses and ponies are matched to riders’ levels.

The centre has an indoor riding arena, an outdoor arena, and stables. Cantegril offers riding for leisure as well as opportunities to progress toward competition, in a friendly atmosphere. It is affiliated with the French Equestrian Federation, carries the École Française d’Équitation label, and is approved by Youth and Sports
