École d'équitation DTO

École d’équitation DTO, also known as Domaine de la Toison d’Or, is an equestrian school in the Victoriaville region of Quebec. Owned by Kathleen Boislard, the school specializes exclusively in classical English riding taught on ponies. It welcomes young riders aged 7 to 14, including children attending its day camps, and introduces them to disciplines such as dressage and show jumping.

DTO emphasizes matching each rider with a pony suited to their size and ability. Its ponies are trained and prepared to help children learn in a safe, supportive setting. The school presents riding as more than a chance to develop equestrian skills: lessons can also encourage confidence, discipline, enjoyment, and teamwork between child and pony. Its approach grew from the owners’ experience discovering classical riding and seeing how trained ponies could make learning both accessible and rewarding.
