The Erfurter Judo-Club e. V. is a sports association in Erfurt, Thuringia, dedicated to teaching and practicing Japanese judo.
Founded in 1994 by 13 judo enthusiasts, the club has grown into one of Thuringia’s larger judo sports clubs. It welcomes beginners and experienced judoka, offering training from Monday to Friday across three groups, along with opportunities to take part in competitions and club activities. The club also provides self-defense training and fitness sessions for women, combining physical conditioning with practical skills.
Newcomers can attend a free trial session, and membership costs €15 per month. Training takes place at the club’s dojo in Erfurt, near the Wiesenhügel district. Beyond regular classes, the Erfurter Judo-Club hosts monthly regional sessions for younger judoka and older participants, and organizes events such as the Messe-Cup and EGA-Pokal.
Its activities also include training camps, youth exchanges, and long-standing international connections, including a partnership with a judo club in Saint-André on Réunion
