About Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia
The Human Factors & Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) is a professional society dedicated to improving the user experience through the application of human factors and ergonomics principles. Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFE) is a scientific discipline focused on understanding the interactions between humans and systems, and using this knowledge to design for optimal human wellbeing and system performance. HFESA members, who are professionals with qualifications or interest in human factors and ergonomics, work to enhance comfort, productivity, and safety in various industries.
As a federated society of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), HFESA is recognized as an IEA-endorsed Certification Body. The society accredits Certified Professional Ergonomists (CPEs), the recognized qualification for HFE professionals in Australia. HFESA offers a range of resources, including podcasts, publications, and mentorship programs.
They also organize events such as the National Conference, where members can network and learn from industry experts. Membership in HFESA provides individuals with opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals, advance their careers, and gain valuable skills and knowledge in user-centered design. Join HFESA and become part of a community dedicated to connecting human capabilities with good design
