Dental Ergonomics Ergonomie Dentaire

Ergonomie Dentaire provides education and practical training in workplace ergonomics for dental professionals, including dentists, dental hygienists and assistants. Its work addresses the musculoskeletal discomfort associated with dental practice and helps participants assess and improve how they work. The organisation’s approach focuses on adapting the workstation to human biomechanics and individual anatomy, with the aim of improving comfort, visual access, treatment precision, hygiene and efficiency.

Its courses cover foundational ergonomic principles, work positions and protocols, instrument placement, posture, movement and four-handed dentistry. Training options include introductory and advanced levels, specialist courses for paediatric dentistry and orthodontics, and practical sessions designed to help participants apply techniques in their own practice. The site also offers tutorials, downloadable documents, scientific publications and information about evidence-based dentistry, alongside details of the team’s research and approach.

Ergonomie Dentaire presents its courses as practical, evidence-informed ways to develop professional skills and make sustainable changes to clinical work. Training events are offered at locations across France, with selected programmes and events also listed internationally.
