Eric Arnold was a Dutch professional adventurer, mountaineer, athlete and motivational speaker whose work focused on pursuing ambitious goals, leadership, innovation and managing risk. He climbed dozens of mountains above 4,000 metres and undertook five Mount Everest expeditions between 2012 and 2016, as well as an expedition to Cho Oyu. His experiences formed the basis of talks for organisations and audiences, where he shared lessons about preparation, focus, discipline, communication and stepping beyond one’s comfort zone.
Arnold also wrote Leef je droom, a book about his dramatic 2012 Everest expedition, and appeared in television, radio and print interviews. His website presents expedition accounts, climbing-route information, photographs, film material, news and personal reflections. It also describes his speaking services, including information for prospective clients and reviews of his talks.
Beyond mountaineering, Arnold supported research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) as an ambassador for Project MinE, helping raise awareness through expeditions and speaking engagements.
