About The ERIGrid 2.0 Project
ERIGrid 2. 0 is a comprehensive research infrastructure project supported by the European Union. Led by the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology, this project aims to facilitate the development, testing, and validation of modern power supply systems, integration of renewable energies, and digitalization of networks and intelligent energy systems.
By providing a wide range of advanced services, methods, and tools, ERIGrid 2. 0 serves as a single-entry point for researchers and experts in smart grids, smart energy systems, and renewables integration. The project encompasses 21 state-of-the-art European laboratories and 8 virtual facilities, offering free access to successful applicants from around the world.
With a focus on holistic, cyber-physical validations, researchers can carry out their experiments in both physical and virtual environments. This initiative not only strengthens Europe's technical leadership in the energy sector but also promotes research and innovation in clean and secure energy transition to address climate and energy challenges
