Erion

Erion is an Italian producer-responsibility system that helps companies meet regulatory obligations for managing waste associated with products, while supporting environmental protection and the transition to a circular economy. Its network comprises six consortia serving producers of household and professional electrical and electronic equipment, batteries, packaging, tobacco products, and textiles. Together, these organizations provide services covering waste electrical and electronic equipment, battery waste, packaging waste, discarded tobacco products, and textile waste.

Erion offers regulatory and operational guidance, administrative assistance, and tailored services for corporate sustainability and responsible waste management. Its support also includes international compliance assistance through European partners, green communication initiatives, collaboration with institutions, and logistics and treatment services. The system emphasizes quality, transparency, efficiency, innovation, and social commitment, with a focus on traceability and reliable waste collection.

Erion also works on circular-economy research, education, and technology projects in collaboration with scientific organizations, businesses, and universities, including initiatives connected with European programs. It is a member of PRONEXA, a European one-stop-shop for extended producer responsibility.
