Erős Gyula Alapítvány

Erős Gyula Foundation is a Hungarian organization dedicated to advancing scientific, cultural, and educational goals, particularly by supporting the training of finance students at economics faculties in Hungarian higher education institutions. Its work includes encouraging economic research and helping make research findings accessible to the public and useful in higher education. The Foundation also supports emerging scholars and educators through competitions, awards, and scholarships.

Its recurring Erős Gyula Award invites applications based on research papers; a 2018 announcement listed full-time PhD students and higher education instructors aged 35 or younger as eligible applicants, with one award of €2,000 available for an outstanding submission. The Foundation’s published award history features work on monetary policy, economic growth, fiscal consolidation, financial crises, household debt, and related topics. It also cooperates with organizations in Hungary and other countries that share its objectives.
