About Red Wing Collectors Society
The Red Wing Collectors’ Society (RWCS) is a membership organization founded in 1977 to bring together people who collect Red Wing and other American stoneware and pottery. Its members span the United States, Canada, and other parts of the world, and include collectors of all ages and experience levels. The Society promotes the history of the potteries, preserves knowledge about their products, and helps members deepen their collecting experience through education and shared interests.
RWCS holds an annual July gathering in Red Wing, Minnesota, known as CrockFest, and a MidWinter Gathering in Midwest cities each February. These events feature activities such as schedules of educational programs, auctions, display rooms, and pottery shows and sales. The Society also offers membership resources, newsletters, chapters, photo galleries, and information on stoneware, dinnerware, art pottery, pottery marks, and reproductions. Its KidsView program introduces children to collecting, while a special seminar helps new members navigate CrockFest and Red Wing. RWCS also supports the Pottery Museum of Red Wing and offers commemorative products and classified listings.
