ESAA

The English Schools' Athletic Association (ESAA), established in 1925, is dedicated to promoting athleticism and competitive opportunities for schools across England. Comprised of a dedicated team of volunteers, ESAA coordinates a wide array of events, including Cross Country Cups, Track and Field Championships, and Combined Events, catering to athletes at regional, national, and international levels. The association encourages participation through affiliated County Schools’ Associations, allowing individual schools to compete in prestigious competitions.

Each year, the ESAA updates its Handbook, which is essential for understanding competition rules and age group classifications. With a focus on inclusivity and excellence, athletes are selected to represent their counties in various championships based on their performances. Additionally, ESAA engages alumni athletes, celebrating their achievements on global stages such as the Commonwealth and European events.

Through its commitment to fostering young talent, the association is a cornerstone of school athletics in England, ensuring that students can pursue their athletic ambitions in a supportive and well-organized environment
