The National Confederation of Disabled People of Greece (ESAmeA) is the country’s tertiary organisation representing people with disabilities, chronic or rare conditions, and their families. It works to strengthen their collective voice and advance equal rights, accessibility, inclusion, and participation in public life. As a recognised social partner of the Greek state on disability issues, the Confederation engages with national and local authorities and advocates for policy and institutional change.

ESAmeA provides information, guidance, support, and empowerment through its “We Claim Together” service, which also assists member organisations, professionals, students, and interested members of the public. Its website offers news, weekly updates, announcements, events, training opportunities, and information about calls and programmes. The organisation also produces statistical bulletins, national reports, research, policy papers, guides, and handbooks on disability-related topics. Through national and international projects, it addresses issues including accessible cultural venues, inclusive healthcare, education, emergency preparedness, and social inclusion. ESAmeA further supports its member organisations and shares resources to inform public debate and improve understanding of the challenges facing disabled people and their families in Greece.
