ESAT Avallonnais

ESAT de l’Avallonnais is an establishment and service supporting people with disabilities through adapted employment and social care. Located in the Avallonnais area of Yonne, France, it opened in 2001 and has capacity for 30 people referred by the relevant disability rights and autonomy commission. It is one of three establishments operated by the Association Foyer Adultes Handicapés, based in L’Isle-sur-Serein.

The organisation offers three professional activities: green-space maintenance, laundry services and subcontracting. It serves individuals, local authorities and businesses, providing free quotes for its services. Green-space work can be arranged through a one-off or annual contract, while laundry is priced by weight. Subcontracting commitments are formally agreed with clients.

Trained instructors supervise employees and provide professional equipment, helping deliver reliable, adaptable work while supporting the development of job skills. Alongside employment, ESAT de l’Avallonnais provides medico-social support to foster independence and prepare employees for inclusion in ordinary workplaces and society.
