ESCCAP

ESCCAP Slovensko a Česko is a nonprofit organisation bringing together Slovak and Czech experts focused on parasitic diseases in dogs, cats and other companion animals. As a sister organisation of ESCCAP Europe, it works closely with veterinarians, pet owners and human health professionals to raise awareness of the risks posed by parasites and provide current, scientifically based information and advice.

The organisation’s resources address parasite prevention and protection for companion animals. Its recommendations cover intestinal worms, external parasites, diseases and pathogens transmitted by vectors, and the prevention of parasites in pets that travel or are imported. These materials are available for download through its website. ESCCAP Slovensko a Česko also shares educational videos, podcast content about parasites and related diseases, and news about its activities and events. Its work includes informing audiences about practical ways to protect animals and, where relevant, people from infections. Based in Košice at the Institute of Parasitology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, the organisation supports informed prevention through expert guidance and accessible educational resources.
