About Escenarios Hídricos
Escenarios Hídricos is a brand that focuses on addressing the water crisis in Chile through an integrated and comprehensive approach called Transición Hídrica (Hydraulic Transition). Their goal is to achieve water security for Chile by the year 2050. Established in 2016, Escenarios Hídricos has been actively engaged in a multisectoral dialogue to develop practical proposals for initiating the country's Hydraulic Transition.
They work closely with local stakeholders in the pilot basins of Maule and Maipo, with the aim of creating roadmaps that will lead to water security in these areas. These roadmaps will be unveiled in mid-2022. Chile is considered one of the 30 countries worldwide with the highest water risk by 2025, and it is projected to have extremely high water stress by 2040.
