The Associació d’Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC) is an association supporting writers who create in the Catalan language. Its website introduces the organisation, explains how to become a member and provides information about its transparency, awards and professional activities. The AELC promotes literary and cultural life through events, seminars, discussions, presentations and other programmes, while sharing news about writers, publications and the profession.

For members, the association offers services and resources addressing professional topics and good practices. Its online materials include databases, publications and audiovisual content, alongside pages profiling authors and information about literary awards and opportunities. The site also lists activities organised by the AELC and events from other cultural organisations, helping readers discover work and initiatives across Catalan-speaking communities. Through its projects and public engagement, the AELC connects writers, supports their professional interests and contributes to the visibility of literature in Catalan. It also collaborates on initiatives such as recorded interviews with senior members, preserving writers’ memories and experiences for a wider audience.
