Escuela Infantil Caperucita Roja

Escuela Infantil Caperucita Roja is a private early childhood education centre in central Gijón, Spain. Founded in 1978 and authorised by the regional Department of Social Rights and Wellbeing, the school serves children from birth to three years old at its location on Calle Adaro. Its facilities provide a safe, naturally lit environment, with three age-based classrooms for groups of 0–1, 1–2 and 2–3 years.

The school’s educational approach aims to help children grow happily, develop fully and take an active, increasingly independent role in their learning. Its methods draw on active educational practices, including Montessori and Waldorf, alongside projects and workshops, English, psychomotor activities and infant massage. Caperucita Roja also offers a family-focused programme, recognising education as a shared responsibility and providing varied opportunities for families to participate and stay connected with their children’s daily experiences. Through its educational services, learning activities and family engagement, the centre supports children’s development during their first three years.
