Esperanza Juvenil, also known as Boys Hope Girls Hope Guatemala, is dedicated to helping academically motivated children and youth overcome disadvantaged backgrounds and achieve success in college and beyond. Our mission is to develop young individuals who are physically, emotionally, and academically prepared for higher education and a productive life, breaking the cycle of poverty. We achieve our mission through various elements including academic excellence, service and community engagement, family-like settings to cultivate youth empowerment, long-term and comprehensive programming, faith-based values, and voluntary participant commitment.

We firmly believe that children have the power to overcome adversity and transform the world when provided with the necessary support and opportunities. Since 1992, Esperanza Juvenil has been making a positive impact by helping scholars rise up from disadvantaged backgrounds and strive for a brighter future. Our scholars receive support on their journey to college and beyond, with the goal of creating successful futures for themselves.
