ESPOIR57 is a French association founded in 1988 by parents of people with psychological disabilities, alongside others seeking greater recognition and support for this disability. Its mission is to promote social and professional inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people it supports. Through its services, the association provides individualized guidance and psychological support throughout each person’s journey.

Its offerings include an ESAT (work-support establishment) with activities in landscaping, catering, market gardening, basketry, and bicycle repair and rental, as well as room hire. Additional services support independent living, access to employment in ordinary workplaces, inclusive housing, and social connection through mutual-support groups. The association’s services are based at the Plateau de Frescaty site, where their shared location encourages collaboration. They serve the Metz metropolitan area and, through the “Vers l’emploi” service, the Moselle and Meuse departments. Each year, ESPOIR57 supports more than 400 people referred by the departmental disability office and other institutional or community partners.
