EsAk

Espoon Akilles is a sports club offering opportunities for people of different ages and experience levels to exercise, train and compete. Its activities include orienteering, basketball and gymnastics, with members ranging from juniors to older adults and from recreational participants to high-level athletes. The club aims to make sports and exercise experiences accessible at an affordable cost.

Orienteering is a key part of its programme. The club provides children’s and adults’ introductory courses, adult training groups, coaching and youth activities, as well as maps, competitions and regular events. These include Espoorastit, a series of orienteering events, and Suuntaa Sohvasta, an introductory indoor orienteering experience. Young participants can also take part in low-threshold events such as Kompassi Cup. For runners, Espoon Akilles offers the Espoo Trail Run trail-running race series. Basketball activities include recreational basketball, while gymnastics provides another way to stay active. Through its varied offerings, Espoon Akilles welcomes people looking to discover a sport, enjoy outdoor activity, develop their skills or take part in competition.
