Esrum Ålaug is an unconventional fishing club in North Zealand, Denmark, with a focus on supporting trout populations and improving aquatic habitats. The club releases trout into local streams and Esrum Lake, and carries out electric fishing to collect trout for breeding and future releases. Its work also includes maintaining spawning grounds and initiating the restoration and creation of spawning areas, in cooperation with municipalities and other interest organisations.
Alongside its conservation activities, Esrum Ålaug organises fishing trips and offers members access to a range of fishing facilities in lakes and rivers, as well as boats and opportunities to rent houses. The club describes itself as an active part of the North Zealand natural environment and aims to help give trout better conditions. It is affiliated with Danmarks Sportsfiskerforbund and Fiskeringen.
Membership applications and subscriptions are handled through Danmarks Sportsfiskerforbund. Esrum Ålaug shares updates about its fish releases, habitat improvements and other activities through its website and Facebook
