Essential Movement Physical Therapy is an Andalusia, Alabama-based practice providing pelvic floor physical therapy and wellness support. Led by Dr. Emily Sasser, a physical therapist and women’s health educator with more than 10 years of experience, the practice offers private, one-on-one care tailored to each client’s needs and goals. Services support women through pregnancy, labor preparation, postpartum recovery, and other stages of life, while treatment is also available for men and women experiencing pelvic pain or related concerns.
The practice addresses issues including bladder or bowel symptoms, prolapse, painful intercourse, scar tissue, abdominal separation, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, prostatitis, and pain in the back, hips, groin, or tailbone. Care begins with an in-person evaluation and may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, a customized recovery plan, home exercises, and app-based support. Telehealth check-ins are available, and clients do not need a physician’s referral. Emily also provides guidance and resources related to movement, nutrition, and lifestyle, and offers a postpartum essentials guide and a wellness newsletter.
