Essential Skills is a trusted brand that specializes in developing 21st-century educational software and tools to engage, inspire, and educate students of all ages. With over 15 years of experience, we take great pride in providing efficient and innovative Reading & Math Intervention Programs, as well as Early Childhood Education Software. Our journey began when our founder, Ryan Brown, a dedicated teacher with over 25 years of experience, recognized the immense potential of computers in teaching basic skills to young children.

Together with his son, Adam, a skilled computer programmer, they created Super Phonics, which quickly became the most popular phonics software program in North America. This pet-project turned into a small business, which eventually evolved into Essential Skills Software. Today, Essential Skills offers a diverse range of educational programs that have been developed by classroom teachers, with the goal of engaging, educating, and motivating students towards success.

Our programs have been widely praised by teachers for their high-interest content, user-friendliness, and the ability to cater to individual student needs. At Essential Skills, our mission is to make a difference in education by providing affordable, technology-based solutions that motivate students, build their confidence, and allow them to achieve success. We believe that success is the greatest motivator, and we strive to empower students to reach their full potential.
