Essex Chargers Youth Football

Essex Chargers Youth Football is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization serving young athletes in Essex Junction and nearby Vermont communities. As part of the Northern Vermont Youth Football League, the program encourages teamwork, fair play, perseverance, leadership, and sportsmanship, while keeping football fun and welcoming for participants. More than 150 children take part each year in programs for different age groups: flag football for grades 1–4, tackle football for grades 5–6, and tackle football for grades 7–8.

The organization provides seasonal practices and games, with activities held at Maple Street Park in Essex Junction. Families can find registration information, game schedules, field locations, coaching contacts, volunteer opportunities, and program updates through the Chargers’ website. The club also shares information about summer workouts and team events, and offers a gear store along with links to its social media channels.

Essex Chargers Youth Football is supported by volunteers and serves children from communities including Essex Junction, Essex, and Westford
