Esteem Therapy

Esteem Therapy is a mobile paediatric Occupational Therapy service based in Manly, Brisbane, supporting children and families across Brisbane’s inner suburbs. Led by Jaimee, a warm and empathetic occupational therapist trained in New Zealand, the practice takes a holistic, client-centred approach. Its guiding belief is that collaboration works better than instruction: children, parents, schools and therapists work together to support each child’s wellbeing and participation.

Services include occupational therapy assessment and intervention, NDIS functional capacity assessments, support with school assessments, and early and adolescent intervention. Therapy is movement- and play-based, with activities tailored to each child’s needs. Areas of support include executive functioning, coordination, sensory processing and emotional regulation. Esteem Therapy also offers family coaching to help caregivers understand children’s needs and support participation in everyday activities.

Appointments are delivered in children’s homes or schools, bringing the service into familiar settings. Esteem Therapy has a particular interest in paediatric neurodivergence, as well as physical and emotional difficulties, and aims to help children build skills and resilience while developing in ways that feel right for them.
