Estivales Lagorre is an annual contemporary visual arts festival held in Seix, a village in the Ariège Pyrenees in France. Running from 13 July to 15 August, the event invites visitors to experience art through exhibitions across four heritage venues: Seix Castle, the Maison du Haut-Salat, the former presbytery and the town hall. Each year, around fifteen artists present a diverse range of work, including painting, watercolour, drawing, sculpture, installations, street art, printmaking and mixed-media techniques.
The festival encourages direct encounters between artists and the public, with participating artists present at their exhibition venues to discuss their creative processes. Exhibitions at the Maison du Haut-Salat, former presbytery and town hall are free. Castle admission is paid, with reduced prices for children and families.
The festival also features the Lagorre Museum, which presents a permanent exhibition of paintings and offers free admission on scheduled opening days and by appointment. Estivales Lagorre’s programme is organized by artist and date, making it easy for visitors to plan their visit
