The Electronic Travel Declaration is an online service provided by Latvia’s Ministry of the Interior for collecting information from certain foreign nationals planning to enter and stay in Latvia. From September 1, 2025, travelers who are not citizens of an exempt country and do not hold a Latvian-issued visa or residence permit must submit the form at least 48 hours before arrival. Some non-exempt nationals with a valid Schengen visa or residence permit issued by another country must also submit it.

The declaration requests personal and passport details, travel purpose and itinerary, planned stay, contact information, and specified information about public roles and service in certain institutions. After submission, travelers receive confirmation that their information was received; the declaration is not an entry permit and does not guarantee admission. The service also provides guidance on exemptions, submission requirements, data access, corrections, and supported browsers.
