ETAD

ETAD is the global association representing manufacturers of dyes and organic pigments. It brings colorant companies together to address health, safety, and environmental issues, support responsible product development, and contribute industry expertise to regulatory discussions worldwide. Its members include leading international manufacturers based in Europe, the United States, and Asia, committed to continually improving the quality and safety of their products.

ETAD offers members a forum to discuss shared challenges, access to analytical methods and internal toxicological and ecotoxicological studies, and guidance on regulations affecting colorants. It also supports authorities with industry representation, scientific expertise on the health and environmental properties of colorants, and the development of analytical methods for regulatory purposes. Through committees focused on dyes, pigments, regulatory matters, and regions including North America, India, Japan, Taiwan, and China, ETAD monitors developments and promotes collaborative work. Its activities include work on ZDHC, nanomaterials, standards, trace metals and impurities, and printing inks. The association also publishes annual reports, regulatory positions, information notices, and technical methods.
