Estonian Research Council (Eesti Teadusagentuur, ETAG) supports research and innovation in Estonia. We maintain and develop a balanced, high-level and internationally successful research, development and innovation (RDI) system in Estonia, as well as a knowledge-based and sustainable Estonian society. Our core values are reliability, efficiency, expertise, openness and cooperation. ETAg in figures: We allocate 113m euros per year in research grants. We provide 3.9m euros of annual support for international research cooperation. We present over 100 awards in different annual competitions. We evaluate over 1000 applications per year. We managage the Estonian Research Information System that has over 320,000 publications and over 70,000 users. We also popularize research and the achievements of Estonian researchers among the larger Estonian public as well as promote STEM subjects and engineering professions among schoolchildren.
