About Ethel Dares
Ethel Dares offers wingwalking experiences across the UK, giving customers the chance to fly on the wings of a vintage 1940s biplane. Flights operate from four locations: IWM Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire, Leeds East Airport in Yorkshire, Sandown Airport on the Isle of Wight, and Dunkeswell Aerodrome in Devon. Customers can choose from three experiences to suit their level.
The Standard WingWalk is designed for first-time wingwalkers and offers a scenic flight without loops. Returning participants can opt for the Dynamic WingWalk, featuring sharper turns and stronger G-forces, or the Aerobatic WingWalk, which includes manoeuvres such as loops and barrel rolls and is reserved for experienced wingwalkers. Civil Aviation Authority rules require first-timers to begin with the Standard experience.
Ethel Dares also sells personalised experience and cash gift vouchers, offers video packs, and supports charity fundraising with exclusive dates for groups. Customers can book flights online, select a location and experience, and choose to pay in full or place a deposit
