The New York Society for Ethical Culture, founded in 1876, is a Humanist community dedicated to ethical relationships, social justice, and democracy. With a mission to build a more just world, we put ethics into action through our various programs and services. Our offerings include action and advocacy initiatives, where we prioritize deeds over creeds and work towards creating a fairer society.

We also focus on education and enrichment, fostering curiosity and personal development to bring out the best in one another. Our youth and family programs provide a humanist approach for children, teens, and parents, promoting ethical values and critical thinking skills. Additionally, we offer social services through our Social Service Board, addressing the needs of our community.

With a landmark meeting house that hosts inspiring gatherings, enriching workshops, and world-class entertainment, we provide a space for engaging events and community service projects.
