Great Ethiopian Run is an Ethiopia-based race event management organization dedicated to making running a lifestyle for everyone. Based in Addis Ababa, it stages races across the country to encourage participation, bring communities together, and use running to support children and underserved groups. Its events also help publicize social messages and showcase Ethiopia’s landscapes and running culture.

The organization’s race program includes the Great Ethiopian Run 10km, described as Africa’s biggest road race, as well as the monthly Entoto Park Run in the Entoto forests. Other offerings include children’s races for ages four to eleven, the Women First 5KM, the Discover Ethiopia Classics, and the Ethio Telecom Lake Hawassa Half Marathon, held on a scenic course beside the lake. Great Ethiopian Run also provides event-related services and opportunities through its volunteer program, membership, accreditation, and race information resources. With events in Addis Ababa, Hawassa, and other locations, the organization combines mass-participation sport with community engagement and social impact.
