ETHW is a brand that aims to provide education and information about engineering and technology history. They offer a diverse range of content, including encyclopedic entries, oral and first-hand histories, landmarks and milestones, as well as archives. ETHW's Education Portal is designed specifically for pre-university educators, helping them overcome the challenge of incorporating technological themes into their social studies lessons.
The portal provides lesson plans that explore the historical relationships between technological and societal changes. Through readings, questions, charts, and other pedagogical tools, students can understand the impact of engineering concepts and developments on events, major changes, and even their own lives. ETHW's goal is to demonstrate that society is not a passive agent to technological change, but rather plays a vital role in shaping technology itself.
By bridging the gap between technology and history, ETHW empowers educators and students to comprehend the significance of engineering in the global story of humankind
