E Tipu E Rea Whānau Services is a brand that is deeply rooted in kaupapa and tikanga Māori principles. We are committed to supporting, advocating for, and empowering teen parents, hapū māmā, and their tamariki. Our journey began with the successful implementation of a teen parent project at Auckland Women's Centre, which highlighted the need for an independent teen parent service in Auckland.

We started as Thrive and officially established ourselves in 2011. With the support of iwi and kaumatua, we embraced a kaupapa Māori approach to address the health and social needs of young whānau from all backgrounds. Our services cater to teen parents, hapū parents, whānau, parents, and caregivers.

We also provide information for sponsors and donors, referrals, newsletters, and media updates to keep our community informed. Our team consists of public health leaders, whānau violence prevention experts, social workers, and youth workers who are dedicated to providing a warm and nurturing environment. We challenge discriminatory systems, develop skills, and grow leadership to empower mātua taiohi, hapū māmā, and their tamariki to embrace their rangatiratanga.

Our goal is to dismantle the stigma associated with teen mothers and support them in fulfilling their potential. Through our work, we aim to promote a positive future for our community.
