About Escuela de Teatro Musical de Petare
The Escuela de Teatro Musical de Petare, founded in 2011, offers free training in musical theater performance to children and young people in Petare, one of the most densely populated and underserved neighborhoods in Latin America. The school views theatrical education as a platform to develop skills and abilities in students, empowering them to become agents of meaningful social change. With over 80 children and young people attending classes and receiving snacks from Monday to Saturday at the Centro Histórico de Petare, the school plays a vital role in the community.
