Etowah Stables is a full-service American Saddlebred training, instruction, and sales facility in north-central Georgia. Established in 1997, it offers 30 permanent stalls, an office, restroom, tack and feed rooms, and an indoor wash rack. Riding facilities include a lighted, heated 180-by-40-foot hallway used during colder months and a 100-by-200-foot outdoor arena that can be used for much of the year in the region’s climate.
The stable specializes in matching amateur riders with horses suited to their abilities and interests, from pleasure ponies to five-gaited performance horses. James and Kala tune horses for amateur riders and provide instruction focused on developing balance and confidence for horse-and-rider teams in the show ring. Etowah Stables also sells horses, drawing on contacts across the country. It welcomes owners seeking help selling a horse, as well as riders interested in joining its team.
