About EDT
EDT (Engineering Development Trust) is a leading educational charity with over 30 years of experience in providing active learning experiences for young people across the UK. Our mission is to inspire and engage young minds in STE(A)M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths) careers through a range of dynamic programs and resources. We offer over 40,000 STE(A)M experiences each year for young people aged 9-21.
Through industry mentored projects, school activity days, taster courses, and industrial placements, we aim to increase interest and knowledge in STE(A)M careers. These programs focus on developing essential skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication, digital skills, numeracy, and project management, enhancing the employability and confidence of young individuals. We work closely with over 3,700 industry partners to create links between educators and employers, providing students with valuable insights into the industry and allowing organizations to connect with talented young individuals.
