About Congregation Etz Chaim of Flatbush
Congregation Etz Chaim of Flatbush, serving the Flatbush community since 1924, is a renowned and enduring synagogue that has been an integral part of the local Jewish community for nearly a century. Our Congregation was established on December 18, 1923, and our founders had a clear vision: to establish and maintain a synagogue where members can congregate for divine worship and religious observances following the Orthodox Ashkenazi ritual. Over the years, our Congregation has expanded its mission to include the education of Jewish youth at our Hebrew day school, which was constructed in 1957.
Our facilities include a main synagogue, offices for our Rabbi, and a school building connected to the main synagogue. Additionally, we have beautiful halls and kitchens available for various Jewish religious functions. With a rich history, a steadfast commitment to tradition, and a thriving community, Congregation Etz Chaim of Flatbush continues to be a beacon of faith and a source of spiritual growth for all who enter its doors.
